THE REASON FOR THE CREATION OF MAN

Image
THE REASON FOR THE CREATION OF MAN Every creation of the Almighty Allah has been created for some specific reason and purpose, namely, the sun, the trees, water, the wind. Explaining the purpose for the creation of Man, the Almighty Allah states: Wa ma khalaqtul Jinna wal insa illa liya'budun "I have not created Man and Jinn, but that they worship Me." (Ad Dhaariyat: Verse 56) Worship can only be performed if there is recognition. In other words, mankind and Jinn have been created to recognize the Almighty Allah. The question that arises is, what is the outcome of this recognition? It means that the more we recognize Allah, the more we worship Him. From the above discussion we come to realize that mankind has been created to recognize Allah, and by doing so we become closer. In other words, closeness to Allah is the pinnacle of glory in the life of mankind. By understanding this, we must examine it's connotation, it's results and it's meaning in the light of...

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAUHEED AND SHIRK

Image
Tauheed OR Shirk Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem THE UNITY OF ALLAH The Being of the Almighty Allah is indeed One. It is only those who are ignorant and persist in being ignorant need an explanation on how Almighty Allah is One and is actually Present. Those who are Allah-conscious do not desire an explanation on this subject of Tauheed and Shirk. They in fact accept without questioning. There is a famous proverb in the Arabic language which is as follows: Al Ashyaa'u tu'rafa bi azdaadihi "Objects are indeed understood by its opposites." For example, peace can only be understood and appreciated by that person who has felt and experienced anxiety. That person though who has not felt anxiety, cannot appreciate peace. In the same manner, Day cannot be understood if a person has not experienced the Night. Likewise, if a person has not comprehended misguidance how is it possible for him to understand guidance? Using this very principle, we may ask, if a person has not underst...

WHO ARE THE AHALE SUNNAT WAL JAMAAT ?

Image
WHO ARE THE AHLE SUNNAT WAL JAMAAT? 1. The Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat is the largest group of Muslims and the only group whose beliefs and teachings are truly in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). 2. The beliefs of this group are the same as the beliefs of the Sahaba or noble companions of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and the Salf-e-Saliheen (our great pious predecessors). 3. In many Ahadith, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) strongly advised the Muslims to follow his Sunnah and to remain steadfast upon the path of his Sahaba, the Salf-e-Saliheen and the majority of Muslims to remain steadfast upon the way of the Ahle Sunnah. 4. The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "I have left two things behind me for you (the Ummah). You will never go astray as long as you follow these two things. One of these two things is Allah's Holy Book (the Holy Quran) and the other is the Sun...

MASLAKE ALA HAZRAT : THE RIGHT FAITH

Image
MASLAKE ALA HAZRAT : THE RIGHT FAITH All groups and sects within Islam claim to have true faith in Qur'an and Hadith and claim to be on the right path. However, the reality is that the only group that is completely following the commands of the Qur'an and Hadith, the largest and blessed group is Ahle Sunnah Wa'l Jama'at. This is the group that is the group bound for paradise and the rest are bound for hell fire. The true translation of the verses of the Qur'an and the sayings of Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam are those that were given to us by the Prophet sallalaho alaihe wasallam and his companions. It is essential to have faith on that. To deviate away from that is to be misguided. When the companions asked Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam about the blessed group he replied, "The group that will gain freedom are those that are firm on my path and the path of my companions." In another Hadith he stated, "The blessed group will be the la...

RESPECT OF PARENTS

Image
RESPECT OF PARENTS (Extracted from ALA Hazrat Imam Ahmedraza’s Risalah) One who disobeys his father, disrespects him and insults him is a wrongdoer, sinner, and will be subjected to punishment in the hereafter. Disobedience of the father, is disobedience of Allah, and the fathers after is ‘anger’ of Allah. If men were to stay obedient to his parents then they can be his paradise and if they are made angry then the same parents can be his Jahannam. Until one does not please his parents (after abusing them), his obligatory (Fardh), optional (Nafl) or any action will not be accepted. Together with punishment in the hereafter, he will get torment problems in this world as well. May Allah forbid, it is feared that he will not get a chance to recite the Kalimah at the time of death. It is stated in a Hadith “Obidence of Allah is the obidience of the father. Diso...

A reply to the objection of the practice of kissing of the Thumbs

Image
A reply to the objection of the practice of kissing of the thumbs (1) Written by Mufti Ahmad Yaar Khan Objection: All the Ahadith that have been presented in proof of the permissibility of the kissing the thumbs are weak (Zaeef) and rules of Shariah cannot be established from weak Ahadith. Imaam Sakhaawi, Imaam Mulla Ali Qaari and even Imaam Shaami have written in Maqaasid-e-Hasanaa, Mauzuaate-Kabeer and Raddul-Mukhtar respectively that all of the Ahadith narrated regarding this practice is not Sahih and Marfoo. The author of Roohul-Bayaan further rejects them being Sahih. Thus presenting them is futile. Answer: There are a few replies to this, 1. All of these scholars refute these Ahadith being Marfoo (i.e. they are not Marfoo Sahih), proving that they are Mauqoof Sahih (an acceptable category of Hadith). As a result, after writing that these Ahadith are not Marfoo, Mulla Ali Qari states, “I say when this Hadith’s attribution (rafaa) is proven through Hadrat Siddique-e-Akbar, it is...
