Alcohol And Non Veg Resturants Are Just Not Halal

Image
We have received numerous complaints from the Muslim public about certain restaurants and diners that are "fully licensed", serving alcohol on their premises, and yet claiming their food to be Halaal. A few of these "Halaal" restaurants, when telephoned, did not hesitate to say that they also serve pork as a dish. Another restaurant owner said that he was Jewish and he advertised the Halaal sign without any reservations. We do not regard the food that is served in a restaurant in which there is also alcohol being served as being Halaal. The very fact that Islamic Commandments warn Muslims not to even enter a place where alcohol is served, let alone consume it, will clear all doubt about the food being Halaal because the alcohol and the "Halaal" food cannot be together or be served from one place. As for those restaurants that allow one to bring one's own wine and at the same time say that their food is Halaal, Muslims should not patronize such r

Fatwa - Conditions Pertaining to Halal Meat

Fatwa - Conditions Pertaining to Halal Meat Mufti Shareeful Haq Amjadi (rahmatullahi alaihi) "Zabiha" or "slaughter" by a non-Muslim is Haraam and falls within the laws of carrion or dead meat. To consume the Zabiha of a non-Muslim is like eating swine. Any animal that has been slaughtered by a non-Muslim is regarded as carrion and as a "major impurity" or "Najaasat-e-Ghaliza". It is not permissable to consume such an animal or touch it. The only circumstances under which it can be touched is to throw it away. This law applies in the case of non-Muslims. But it also be known that if a Muslim does not say "Bismillah" when slaughtering an animal, then such and animal is also considered to be Haraam. The law concerning meat is so strict that even if the meat leaves the sight of a Muslim into the care of a Kaafir at any time after slaughtering till the time of consumption, then such meat cannot be eaten and is said to be Haraam. Visiting the Sick and Comforting them

Even sickness for a Muslim is a blessing of Allah. The reason for this is that if a pious person falls ill, then his status is elevated and if a sinner falls ill then his sins are forgiven. To visit a sick person is known as "Iyaadat." This is to show human kindness and it is a means of earning Sawaab. Most of all it is the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). When a person visits a fellow Muslim who is ill, then he gains the Mercy of Almighty Allah and the gift of Jannat. The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) has stated: "If a Muslim visits his fellow Muslim brother who is ill in the morning, then 70 000 Angels pray for that person until the night and if he visits at night then they pray for him till the morning, and due to his Iyaadat, he gains a garden in Paradise." In another Hadith, it has been narrated that if a person makes fresh Wudhu and intends to visit an ill person only for Sawaab, then he is kept away from Hell as far as th
